Smoking, sort of…

 The rather smug looking geek behind that thin waft of awesomeness is me. Toking on an electric cigarette. I’m about a week past receiving the kit now from http://www.ecigarettedirect.co.uk/ and something a little unexpected has happened. I’m off the Cigs, completely. Shocker, I know. So no NRT patches, gum, inhalers, sprays or the like and no awkward switch from 40 a day rollups. It just sort of happened.

The e-cig gives me my hit, just like a normal cigarette. Same hit, same sensation, same throat hit but my smoking is now not limited to standing outside huddled with the rest of the social lepers and it tastes of fizzy cola. First few tokes on a morning bring me round with a cup of coffee just like when I smoked, I can honestly not tell the difference between the two as far as nicotine addiction goes.

So my lungs are clearing up and the senses are returning, just like a quit attempt, but im not the usual raging sociopath that using NRT or going cold turkey makes me.

So far, so good.

The plan for now is to carry on “vaping” and gradually step down the strength of the nicotine in my e-cig, yep you can do that, all the way down to % nicotine.

I will admit I have placed orders for different bits and bobs from several different sources, mainly for the wide variety of “juices” which come in different flavours to put into the e-cig and have found a big discrepancy as far as standards go between suppliers.

At the moment the only supplier that has proven to be consistently reliable as far as quick delivery, quality of product and solving problems when they do arise is http://www.ecigarettedirect.co.uk/

So if anyone who knows me reading this is thinking of giving it a bash, which I recommend, then I would suggest going to them for a starter kit, especially the tank system.

Might seem like im giving the hard sell on them but meh, had any other suppler delivered within a week of ordering I would be hard selling them too! :p
